Within the town of Yorktown, there are parks of every size and shape. From the massive FDR State Park to tiny Hunter Brook Park, there are many ways to enjoy a low cost, nearby recreation. Discover what is in your backyard. There are more than 30 miles of trails, offering the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and learn about local history, geology, and wildlife. The trail system that surrounds the pedestrian Bridge over the Taconic is easily accessible via conveniently located parking areas and neighborhood rights of way.
A part of a statewide initiative by Parks and Trails NY, learn about your parks, participate in scheduled or drop in activities, or help at a service project. There is something for everyone.
